Congress partners from Australia, Armenia and Russia: international cooperation in models, risk, data and AI technologies

The Congress Today: the Architecture of Risk, Data and AI

The financial sector is operating in a state of turbulence: AI and ML, cyber threats, ESG and demographic change are reshaping risk profiles faster than regulations can adapt. The Congress brings regulators and key market players together on one platform to align approaches to models and data, develop shared solutions and build practical formats for cooperation.

At the Congress, theory is directly connected to practice. The programme is built around live case studies in data and models, new reporting standards, platform architecture and AI-based projects that are already being used in the industry. Participants see how peers are solving similar challenges and leave with a clear set of tools, partnerships and next steps they can immediately bring into their own plans.

2026 is a special year for the Congress:

  • The Society of Actuaries of Kazakhstan marks its 25th anniversary;
  • Awards are being introduced to recognise contributions to market development.

From an Actuarial Forum to an International Dialogue

20202022

Actuarial forums across the CIS. The main themes included the sustainability of pension and insurance systems, long-term liabilities, stress testing, reporting and regulatory requirements.

2023–2024

A new stage of the EAC in Kazakhstan, with participation from across Eurasia. Key themes included catastrophe risk, reinsurance, AI and data. It became clear that the agenda could no longer be shaped by actuaries alone – it required a broader dialogue among experts in risk, data, fintech and related fields.

2025–по н.в.
The EAC evolves into the Eurasian Congress – an international platform for regulators, financial experts and business. The new format brings together discussion of risk, models, data and practical solutions for the financial market.

The Eurasian Actuarial Congress (EAC): the first steps from an industry forum to an international dialogue on finance, risk and technology

Marina Shchuklinova

Director of the Eurasian Congress of Quants, Risk Managers, Actuaries and FinTech, PhD in Economics

How the Congress Was Created

The Congress grew out of market demand: the industry needed a platform where risk, data and technology could be discussed without marketing noise.

At the first actuarial forums I launched, conversations about pricing and reserves quickly moved into reinsurance, complex regional risks and catastrophe exposures.

At the same time, the global agenda on AI, data and new reporting standards was moving ahead, while Russia and the EAEU countries were rarely part of the focus of major financial forums.

The Congress became a response to that gap – a platform that connects international speakers with Eurasian practice, so that countries in the region can help shape the agenda alongside other financial centres around the world.

International experts bring real case studies and ready-to-use implementation frameworks. Join the in-person session to meet partners, launch pilots, and gain presentations, checklists and contacts from key market participants.
