Speaker’s Agenda
Vladimir Shevchenko is an actuary with more than 20 years of experience in insurance, actuarial calculations and InsurTech. He has been directly involved in industry projects, including the development of Kazakhstan’s Unified Insurance Database, as well as the calculation and defence of tariffs for compulsory motor third-party liability insurance. He currently advises on IFRS 17 automation, data warehouse development, actuarial calculation services and insurance product sales automation.
At the Congress, Vladimir Shevchenko will demonstrate a practical approach in which AI becomes a controlled tool for the actuary. Given a task in natural language, an AI agent can generate and execute SQL queries, run calculation models through APIs and perform in-depth analysis of the results. Access to the Python code of the models allows the agent to explain calculation logic, trace the origin of specific indicators and identify potential errors. The presentation will also address data quality and traceability, model and assumption control, the boundary between automation and professional judgement, and the changing role of the actuary in managing an analytical workflow.
