Aislu Zhapakova is a licensed actuary of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a full member of the Actuarial Society of Kazakhstan. She has more than 16 years of professional experience in the insurance and banking sectors and specialises in actuarial practice, international financial reporting and financial risk management. Her expertise includes IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 implementation, actuarial modelling, audits of financial institutions and financial process transformation.
At the Congress, she will examine key trends in the development of Kazakhstan’s insurance market and the practical lessons of IFRS 17 implementation. Particular attention will be given to capital and risk management, data quality, automation of actuarial calculations and financial reporting, digital solutions and the use of artificial intelligence in actuarial work. The presentation will also provide practical recommendations for preparing insurance companies for the next stage of industry transformation and for the evolving role of the actuary as a strategic business partner.
